Each of the oscillating loads (82, 83) comprises a heating inductor forming part of a parallel-resonant circuit. These loads (82, 83) are connected in series between the output terminals (18, 19) of an inverter (10). They are respectively connected in parallel with electronic power breakers (118, 110) which, through variations in the respective on/off duty cycles for these loads (82, 83), permit substantially independent regulation of the power supplied by the inverter (10) to each of the loads (82, 83). In induction forge furnaces (for slugs or billets) the invention permits the heating power to be regulated as a function of the speed of advance or of the output temperature of the parts. In furnaces for wires or for cables, it furthermore permits compensation for the "dead ends" when starting or restarting the installation after a stoppage.

|
