摘要 <p>A ratio controlling mechanism for a continuously variable transmission consisting of an input pulley combined with a hydraulic servomechanism for varying the effective diameter thereof, an output pulley combined with a hydraulic servomechanism for varying the effective diameter thereof and a V- belt extended between said output pulley and said input pulley, comprising an electronically- controlled up-shift electromagnetic valve 84 and a down-shift electromagnetic valve 85, each capable of regulating a line pressure applied thereto to provide a solenoid pressure corresponding to the running condition of the vehicle. A reduction ratio control valve 81 has a spool biassed by a spring provided adjacently to one end thereof and the solenoid pressures are applied thereto in opposite directions to connect the hydraulic servomechanism of said input pulley to an oil pressure source or to a drain port. The spring load is applied to the spool in the direction of movement of said spool during downshift operation. <IMAGE></p>
