<p>PURPOSE:To return a head shifting mechanism to a position before its operation and to prevent the generation of a state wherein neither loading nor returning is possible, by disconnecting the shifting mechanism from a driving mechanism when the power source is turned off on the way of forward movement of the head shifting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The head shifting mechanism consists of an electromagnetic plunger 1, plunger plate 2, hold plate 3, lock plate 4, hook plate 6, subplate 6, etc. If the power source is turned off on the way of forward movement of a shift plate 11, a power plate 7 stops in the middle to turn off the electromagnetic plunger 1, and the hold plate 3 and hook plate 5 which are fixed so far become rotatable to disengage an engagement pin 8 and the plate 5 from the subplate 6, so that the plate 11 is moved back by springs 12 and 13 to the position before its operation. Consequently, the state wherein neither loading nor returning is possible is evaded.</p> |
