摘要 PURPOSE:To increase output and variable gear ratio by cutting each of addendum of a rack and a taper sector gear along the line of meshing of the both, while cutting the tooth bottom opposing to the cut surface and forming a relief part. CONSTITUTION:Each of addendum 3a, 5a of a rack 3 formed on a piston 1, and of a taper sector gear 5 provided in an integrated form with an output shaft 4, is cut respectively along the line of meshing of the both teeth, and each of cut surface 3A, 5A is linearly brought in contact with the opposing tooth face in the direction of width. Also, each part of the tooth bottoms 3b, 5b, which is the narrowest part of the gap between said each of cut surface 3A, 5A and each of tooth bottom 3b, 5b shown in two dotted chain lines, is cut and formed into relief parts 6, 7 respectively. Thereby, with the shaft-to-shaft distance L between a screw shaft 2 and the output shaft 4 being maintained constant, the tooth bottom of the rack 3 can be lowered, increasing the thickness between the tooth bottom and the fitting hole for the screw shaft 2 to be able to cope with any higher output, while the tooth length of the rack 3 or gear 5 can be increased to increase the variable ratio.
