PURPOSE:To perform an axial centering adjustment simply but in a highly accurate manner, by floatingly supporting an adjusting table magnetically, which is mounted with assemblies and used for the axial centering adjustment, while constituting the table so as to enable it to be minutely adjusted to the specified axial centering position through magnetism. CONSTITUTION:When an adjusting table 30 on which axial centering parts are mounted is in its equilibrium, it comes into a state of equality in both gaps of a pair of electromagnets 32 and 34 in an x-axis direction by way of example. Under this condition, an axial centering action on a shaft takes place for bearing parts, and when an axial centering error exists between both these gaps due to axial torsion or the like, the moment based on this error is impressed on the adjusting table 30. If so, the adjusting table 30 moves between both these electromagnets 32 and 34 to the x-axis direction by way of example, so that there produces imbalance in the said gaps. For this reason, this gap imbalance is detected by a gap detector 42, and an exciting current is fed to these electromagnets 32 and 34 by a magnetic control circuit 40 in order to balance the gaps, thus a position of the adjusting table 30 is minutely adjusted. |
