PURPOSE:To obtain a thermodevelopable color photographic material capable of enhancing efficiency of transfer of a thermotransferable dye to an image receiving dye by forming a barrier layer inhibiting thermal diffusion of the thermotransferable dye released by thermodevelopment on the reverse side of the image receiving layer of a photographic constituent layers. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive element A is formed as a thermotransferable dye releasing sheet by successively forming on a base 1 made of polyethylene terephthalate, a barrier layer 2, such as a gelatin layer, inhibiting thermodiffusion of a thermotransferable dye, and a thermotransferable dye releasing layer 3 composed of photosensitive silver halide, organic silver salt, a thermotransferable dye donor, and a binder and releasing a dye in thermodevelopment. This element A is exposed using, e.g., a thermotransferable dye donor releasing a diffusible dye at the exposed part. An image receiving element B obtd. by coating a paper base 4 with an image receiving layer 5 made of polyethylene terephthalate is overlaid on said photosensitive element A, and thermodevelopment and thermotransfer can be carried out. |
