PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency and make the temperature rise uniform and prevent the insulation from deteriorating by making the thickness of spacers inserted between the winding units in a specific range larger than that of others. CONSTITUTION:The gaps of the flat liquid paths 5, formed by the spacers inserted between winding units 3 in a specific range of a disk winding 1, are made larger than those of other paths. The range where the gaps of the flat liquid paths 5 is only the range where the vertical position of the disk winding 1 conforms the following equation; 325q+13<=h<=325q+38 (where (q) is heat current density at the surface of the winding [w/cm<2>] and (h) is the position of the winding provided the top end of the disk winding 1a is 100). As the thickness of the spacers provided between the winding units 3 in the portion where the temperature rise is higher is thicker than that of others, retention of the cooling liquid in the flat liquid paths is avoided and heat radiation is increased and the current density is reduced while the local temperature rise between the winding units 3 is relieved so that the vertical temperature distribution of the disk winding 1 is made uniform. |
