PURPOSE:To shorten the idle time of a processor and to improve an eutire processing speed by allowing the processor to develop the next page data in a memory in a dot pattern form while a dot data in an image memory is transferred on DMA basis. CONSTITUTION:A host CPU1 and a mechanism having a printer are connected to the image memory IM through the processor 4, and the channel 2 of the CPU1 is connected to a main storage MS. Then, DMA subchannels 7 and 7' and a DMA controller 6 are provided between the channel 2 and main storage MS, and memory IM and a printer interface 5. While the dot data as the 1st page in the memory IM is transferred on DMA basis to a printer by the subchannel 7', the subchannel 7 develops the dot data as the next page in the memory IM under the control of the processor 4, thus increasing the entire processing speed. |
