PURPOSE:To decrease the deterioration in picture quality at the overlapped part by shifting a position where the luminance at the overlapped part is coincident at each color generation. CONSTITUTION:In forming a picture screen P on a screen 1 by using two sets of projective type video projectors VPl and VPr arranged laterally, the picture screens Pl and Pr projected and formed on the screen 1 from the video projectors VPl and VPr are overlapped by a length L0. The luminance at the overlapped part L0 is attenuated linearly so that the luminance at the overlapped part L0 is made almost the same as that of the unoverlapped part, and the position where the luminance at the overlapped part is coincident with each other is shifted at each generation of color. Thus, even if the registration of screen is deteriorated, the deterioration in the picture quality at the overlapped part is not concentrated on one part but divided into three parts, allowing to reduce the deterioration in the picture quality visually. |
