PURPOSE:To enable braking of a transfer drum independent of a photosensitive drum, to render transfer pressure constant, and to prevent effect on distribution of the transfer pressure by forming a braking member for braking the transfer drum on a swingable plate. CONSTITUTION:A roller 30 of a braking member is pivotally supported at the small end of a lever 31, and it is pivotally fixed to a swingable plate 24 with a stepped screw 32. A spring 34 is connected between the plate 24 and an anchor 33 to always give the roller 30 tendency of pressing the inside circumference of a transfer drum 5, i.e., the inside circumference of a gear 5g with the elastic force. The roller 30 made of polyurethane rubber or the like rotates together with a bush 35, and sliding bearing 36 in one body on the shaft 37 of the lever 31, and it is braked with a spring 38, and a brake shoe 39, and rotates while being driven with the drum 5 because of the spring 34, and transmits the braking force to the transfer drum 5. Therefore, the backlash between the gear 5b and the gear of a photosensitive drum is removed and rotation vibration is prevented. |
