PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a polarizing distortion even if a scanning surface becomes large by reflecting at a right angle a parallel light which is made incident along the axis, focusing it at a prescribed distance, and executing the scanning by using a part of the circumferential surface of a cylinder as a scanning surface. CONSTITUTION:Each color of R, G and B is made to emit a light by lasers 1-3, made to form a white composite light on an optical path L, and focused at one point P of a scanning surfaces S by a mirror 11 and a lens 12. When an axis 10 is rotated in the direction as indicated with an arrow phi1, the point p moves in the circumferential direction on the scanning surface S which forms a part of the inside surface of a cylinder and draws a scanning line. When a female screw body 15 is fixed, the axis 10 moves in the direction as indicated with an arrow X, too, a pitch of its feed is determined by a pitch of a male screw part 14, and as a result, the axis 10 moves in the direction as indicated with the arrow X at a prescribed pitch at evern one rotation. Lights from the lasers 1-3 on the optical path L are parallel lights, the optical path length is not varied on said path, and no distortion is generated at all. Also, a moving distance in the X direction in case when the axis makes one rotation can be varied optionally by rotating the screw body 15. |
