A first mobile frame (2) supports a reel (3) on which a steel wire transporter belt (4) is wound and which is connected to a heavy wedge (5). Both wedge and belt are approx. of the same width as the trough (1). The wedge length may be 75-100cm. the reel is via a transmission coupled to drive motor (7). The belt passes from the reel over guide roller (8). The unit further has a second mobile frame (9) supporting winch (10) connected to cable (11) which is secured to the wedge. When operated, the wedge pushes the manure onto the belt where a scraper blade (16) finally moves the manure to a transverse transporter unit, for further removal.
