PURPOSE:To measure the turn-off time of a thyristor over high-frequency feed by charging a capacitor by connecting a reactor, where a diode and 2nd direct-current power supply are connected, to a 1st direct-current power supply in series. CONSTITUTION:To 1st direct-current power supply 11, 1st reactor 13 where diode 15 and 2nd direct-current power supply 12 are connected in parallel is connected in series so as to charge capacitor 16, and thyristor 17 to be tested is connected by way of 2nd reactor 14. For the purpose, a current flowing through 1st reactor 13 is varied by 2nd direct-current power supply 12 to vary the charge time of capacitor 16, and consequently while a sine half-wave current is fed to thyristor 17 to be tested, the reverse bias period of thyristor 17 is varied to measure the turn-off time, so that measurement can be attained by flowing a current ranging from a low frequency to high frequency. |
