PURPOSE:To make it possible to prolong the interval between times required in separating an objective component and the succeeding other component, by rapidly falling a column temp. when the peak of specimen components separated by the separation column of a gas chromatograph and successively flowed out therefrom is flowed out. CONSTITUTION:A gas chromatograph 1 is successively equipped with a specimen introducing part 2, a separation column 3, a first detecting part 4 and a second detecting part 5. In this case, a controller 7 monitors the peak of specimen components flowed out from the separation column 3 by the output of the first detecting part 4 and, when the peak of an objective component is flowed out, rapidly falls the temp. of a temp. control tank 6. After the temp. of said tank 6 is held to a low temp. for a predetermined time, the temp. thereof is again raised. By this method, the time between peaks are prolonged and the interval between times required in separating the objective component and the other component succeeding thereto. |
