<p>The skittle game (e.g. for table-top use) comprises a horizontal surface surrounded by upright sides and with an area to set up the pins which are to be thrown over by a spinning top. Between the launching point and the pins, a transverse bridge is provided consisting of vertical pillars and arches, the pillar spacing and arch height being such as to provide adequate passages for the top. The top may comprise a barrel-shaped shank with a disc at its upper end and central stub ends at top and bottom to engage cut-outs in a launching support, launching being effected by pulling a cord wound around the shank.
