The mechanism for laterally adjusting a vehicle seat, esp. in a motor home, comprises a pair of conventional longitudinal runners allowing the seat to be adjusted longitudinally. - The runners are mounted perpendicularly on top of a pair of transverse runners, thereby allowing the position of the seat to be adjusted in two perpendicular directions. The fixed parts of the longitudinal runners are pref. mounted on the movable parts of the transverse runners.
