The tank (1) for road transport is, at its forward end provided with a trunnion-mounted hydraulic tipper cylinder assembly. The lower end can be coupled to the frame of a transport vehicle, whilst its rearward end has pins which are capable of engaging corresponding openings in the vehicle frame to provide the pivot points permitting tipping. - The tank pref. has strengthening members at its four corners via which it can be secured on the vehicle frame.
