PURPOSE:To reduce variations in the rotational speed of a two-kind fuel engine upon changing of consuming fuel for the engine, by setting a predetermined time, in accordance with the load of the engine, between the opening or closing operation of a gas shut-off valve and the change-over of operation of the engine into the pilot operation mode or the governor operation mode on the Diesel fuel side, upon changing of consuming fuel for the engine. CONSTITUTION:When an engine having a Diesel fuel injection pump 5, a gas shut-off valve 9 and a gas metering valve 6 for gas fuel, is operated with Diesel engine, a signal from a rotational speed detector 7 is compared with a signal from a rotational speed setting unit 3 in a comparator 11. The thus obtained deviation signal is fed to an actuator 4 through a low value selecting circuit 12. Upon changing the operation mode of the engine into the gas fuel operation mode from this condition, the valve 9 is opened by a signal 18 from a mode change-over circuit 2, and the change-over output 16 of the change-over circuit 2 is made to have a low value after a predetermined time determined in accordance with a signal from a load detector 21 is elapsed, in order to set the Diesel fuel side to the pilot operation mode and, as well the output 16' is made to have a high value in order to shift the gas fuel side into the governor operation mode. |
