PURPOSE:To attain the increase of strength and the weight reduction of a handle for a manual tool by a method in which the sectional outside of the handle body is formed of a round metal tube, and an expanded portion is formed in a place where stress is to be concentrated on the place continuing to the connection position of the blade at the least in the handle body. CONSTITUTION:A blade 3 is provided with a fitting cylinder 31 having the same outside diameter and thickness as those of the handle body 1, and a reinforcing lever 4 is made of a cylinder 31 with a tapered tip of an outside diameter enough to fit on the handle body 1, and its tip end is closed. The tip end of the lever 4 is fitted by half into the cylinder 31, the rear of the lever 4 is fitted by half into the body 1, and the body 1 and the cylinder 31 are butted and welded with the lever 4 for fixation. An expanded portion 11 is formed with a round and equal-diameter outside over a fixed distance shape from a position near the blade 3 side rather than the place (a) where bending moment is to be concentrated during the working period to the basal portion. |
