PURPOSE:To improve the control ability of an engine by lessening the variation rate of the displacement of an accelerator v.s. the opening degree of a throttle valve when the displacement of the accelerator and the rate of the displacement are below reference values within a predetermined time, and thereafter, when the variation rate is made small when the displacement and as well the rate of the displacement exceed predetermined values. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with an accelerator pedal operating amount signal from a stroke sensor 6, a micro-computer 1 delivers a control signal to a servo-drive circuit 5 for controlling the opening and closing operation of a throttle valve through a servo-motor 3. In the micro-computer 1, after a build- up detecting circuit 10 detects the operation of the accelerator pedal, when an accelerator pedal displacement signal APS and a displacement rate signal DAPS exceed reference values within a predetermined time, the variation rate of the opening degree of a throttle valve v.s. the displacement of the accelerator pedal is made small, nd thereafter, when the displacement APS and the displacement rate DAPS exceed second reference values, the above-mentioned variation rate is made large, in order to enable the speed of the engine to be finely adjusted, and as well to ensure the performance of acceleration. |
