摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the pickup power by reducing the sectional area of a thermoelectric generating element in the vicinity of the low temperature unit as compared with the sectional area of the high temperature contact side section, thereby increasing the temperature difference between the high temperature contact unit and the low temperature unit. CONSTITUTION:When a flame 16 is formed on a burner 11, the temperature of the high temperature contact unit 2 of a thermoelectric generating element 1 rises, and a temperature difference occurs to a low temperature unit 3. Accordingly, a voltage proportional to the temperature difference is generated between the two lead wirings 6, a convection blower 13 is gradually driven to feed air of low temperature into a convection air passage 15. Thus, the low temperature unit 3 of the element 1 is further cooled by a fin 10. On the other hand, heat from the high temperature contact unit 2 tends to flow to the unit 3 and to enhance the temperature of the unit 3, but since the thremal resistance of the part 4 that the sectional area is reduced is large, the termperature of the unit 3 does not considerably rise, but the temperature difference to the unit 2 is largely held to maintain the generated voltage at high value. The section that the sectional area is reduced is fixed by a heat resistant material such as cement or the like, and the strength is not accordingly reduced, and since the cement or the like has smaller thermal conductivity as compared with the material of the element 1, the effect of enhancing the temperature of the unit 3 is small.
