NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I [R1 is H or alkyl; R2 is H, (protected) carboxyl, protected carboxyamino, amino, acylamino, carbamoyl, etc.,; R3 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aralkyl or aryl; X1 and X2 are H, alkyl, alkoxy, OH, halogen, CF3, NO2, NH2, etc.,] and its salt. USE:An antiarrhythmic agent. PREPARATION:For example, a compound shown by the formula II (R<a>2 is H, alkoxycarbonyl, aralkyloxycarbonyl or allyloxycarbonyl) is subjected to intramolecular ring closure reaction and, if necessary, subjected to isomerization reaction or to conversion reaction of the substituted R<a>2, to give a compound shown by the formula I. The compound shown by the formula II is obtained by reacting an alkali metallic salt of a compound shown by the formula III with a compound shown by the formula IV. |
