OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce the transmission loss and the software of a slave station by providing an optical switch selecting any one of slave stations to a channel between a master station and plural salve stations. CONSTITUTION:A transmission data SD from the master station 10 is converted into an optical signal by an electrooptic converting circuit 11. While the master station 10 transmits the transmission data SD, the master station 10 gives a destination of the transmission data SD to a decoder 14 as an address signal AD. The decoder 14 decodes the address signal AD and gives a slave station selecting signal switching the optical switch 13 to the optical switch 13. The optical siwtch 13 is changed over in response to a received slave station selecting signal and transmits an optical signal to an photoelectric converting circuit 16-1 connected to the selected slave station. The photoelectric converting circuit 16-1 converts the received optical signal into an electric signal and gives it to a slave station 18-1. The signal from the slave station 18-1 is converted into the optical signal by an electrooptic converting circuit 17-1 and given to the master station 10 as a receiving signal RD through the optical switch 13 and an optoelectric converting circuit 12.
