PURPOSE:To transmit large power by full-wave rectifying the output of a transformer, and supplying it as a constant current to a load through a choke coil, thereby enhancing the utility efficiency of the switching element and the transformer. CONSTITUTION:The primary winding of a transformer 3 is connected to both terminals of an input DC power source 1 through a switching element 2. A diode 4 is connected in anti-parallel to the element 2, and a capacitor 5 is connected in parallel. Diode group 6 for full-wave rectifying the output are connected to the secondary winding of the transformer 3. The output current full-wave rectified by the diode group 6 is supplied to a load 8 through a current smoothing choke 7 and a smoothing condenser 9. |
