PURPOSE:To avoid a flaw and interference to the equipment by a method wherein, when a piece of paper is conveyed to a feeder, a metal detector detects that it is not a lead frame and the supplying operation is stopped and a discharge device operates to remove the paper piece. CONSTITUTION:After a transferring mechanism 4 is moved to the side of a stocker 1 and descended, air suction is operated and a pressure switch 8 detects whether the suction is operated properly. After an object in the stocker 1 is sucked, the transferring mechanism 4 is ascended and air blows up from a nozzle 11 and a piece of paper is blown off. Then the transferring mechanism 4 is moved directly above a feeder 12 and descended and the air suction is stopped. If a lead frame 2 is transferred properly, a detection output power produced by a metal detector 13' is checked. If the output is not found, the operation of the supplying equipment is stopped and the paper piece is blown off by an air nozzle 14 and then the supplying operation is repeated. If the metal is detected properly, the lead frame is transferred by the transferring mechanism. Thus, even if a spacing material such as a piece of paper is transferred to the lead frame feeder by mistake, existance of the material is detected by the metal detector and removed by the discharge device so that a flaw of the lead frame or the interference of the equipment are prevented. |
