PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of an air flow amount by providing a rotatable louver at the front part of the suction side of an air cooler which sucks and cools high temperature air into a rotary electric machine and circulates the cooled air into the machine, thereby eliminating a damper. CONSTITUTION:Air in a rotary electric machine is flowed in a direction of an arrow by fans 2 which are mounted at both ends of a shaft 1' of the machine. Cold airs from coolers 13, 13 which are mounted on a rotor 3 cool the sections of the stator 3 and a rotor 1 via the fans 2, return to an air duct 14 through an exhaust hole 12, and are again cooled by the coolers 13, 13. Rotatable louvers 18, 18 are provided on the front face of air suction units of the coolers 13, and manually or automatically opened or closed. In this manner, a damper can be eliminated to simplify the structure, thereby facilitating the adjustment of a windage amount. |
