Phosphorus and silicon contg. steel powders comprise an intimate blend of ferrophosphorus powder and ferrosilicon powder having a particle size mainly less than 175 microns. The final blend has a phosphorus content of 0.05 to 1%, esp. 0.05 to 0.45% and a silicon content of 0.05 to 6% esp. 0.05 to 4%. |
