PURPOSE:To avoid cutting off of a one-way reinforced fiber arranged around the external circumference and to contrive the improvement in strength, by a method wherein both flanges of both the outsides of one end of a rod body and a cap are fixed by a U-shaped connecting metal fittings with each other by providing U groove and without drilling bolt holes on both of the flanges. CONSTITUTION:Cross sections of flanged parts 23a, 23b, 24a, 24b provided on both the outsides of a rod body 21 and a cap 22 are formed in U shape, through which the titled connecting rod is provided with a U-groove 29. Then a flange for connection having a U-shaped cross section is formed by a method wherein the rod body 21 and the cap 22 are joined with each other. A U-bolt 30 is penetrated through the U-groove 29 from a cap 22 side, the bolt 30 is arranged so as to embrace the external circumference of the cap 22, and a nut 31 is screwed over the bolt 30, through which the bolt 30 and the cap 22 are bound together. As the rod body 21 and the cap 22 to be mounted on the rod body 21 are so constituted that they are capable of connecting with each other without forming holes on both of them, the titled connecting rod made of a composite material, which is high in its strength and is light in its weight, can be obtained without cutting a bundle of a fiber. |
