摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten start/stop or restarting time by providing a fuel electrode bypath system and oxidation agent bypath system and preventing breakdown of fuel electrode and oxidation agent electrode due to high differential pressure to be produced across them upon start/stop of fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:When starting, valves 27, 28 are opened while other valves are closed to receive a signal from first differential pressure gauge 33 to set the operational state such that the differential pressure between both bypath systems 17, 18 will be within predetermined range. While another signal is received from second differential pressure gauge 35 to flow inert fluid from inert fluid feed/ discharge systems 21, 22 and pressurize to predetermined level while controlling through pressure release valves 29, 30 in oxidation agent electrode and fuel electrode such that the differential pressure between them will be within predetermined level. When a signal from third differential pressure gauge 34 enters within predetermined range, both bypath gate valves 27, 28 are closed while gate valves 23-26 are opened to enter into normal operation. In such a manner, breakdown of fuel cell at start/stop or due to disturbance is prevented to reduce start/stop or restarting time considerably.
