PURPOSE:To shorten memory testing time by testing a magnetic bubble memory through the stored information forming a stepped border between ''1'' information and ''0'' information when observing the adjacent minor loop at a plane level in order to detect a failure extending adjacent minor loop. CONSTITUTION:The minor loops 15, 15' are regarded adjacent and each minor loop 1 includes continuous ''1'' information consisting of m.n bits and continuous ''0'' information also consisting of m.n bits and the ''0'' and ''1'' information is shifted stepwise by n bits sequentially from the minor loop 15 closer to a generator 3 on a major loop 2 among the respective adjacent minor loops to make a 2m loop round and repeat to store the ''1'' and ''0'' information. If the stored information is started and stopped at each position shifted by one bit in the minor loop, a block 16 including the border between the ''1'' information 11 and the ''0'' information 12 appears on all corner parts 7 between the adjacent minor loops to test only by one read/write operation, and consequently, to shorten the testing time to 1/2m (m>=4). |
