The present certificate of addition is a simplified version of an invention relating to bicycles, which solves the problem of the absence of effective suspension whilst almost allowing impacts resulting from the road to be eliminated. It comprises a square bar 1 having, in its lower part, a rubber dish 9, a spring 7; and an elastic stop 8 all of which dampen the impacts and avoid rebound. This bar 1 slides in the saddle stem 2 of conventional diameter but of slightly greater length. Its applications extend to all types of bicycle and to their users (competition, touring, etc.). <IMAGE>
