PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly work of electric parts around a ballast by providing the second shell enclosing a ballast fitted to the first shell and coupled with the first shell on one end and provided with a base on the other end. CONSTITUTION:The first shell 18 is fixed to a discharge lamp 1 coated with an adhesive on a neck section 3. A terminal plate 43 fitted with electric parts is fixed to the terminal plate holder 42 of a ballast 34, and the ballast 34 is mounted on the ballast supporter 24 of the fit shell 18. The electrode lead wire 11 of the discharge lamp 1 and a power supply wire extended through a base 33 are connected through the terminal 44 of the terminal plate 43 to complete a lighting circuit. The second shell 26 is coupled with the first shell 18 to complete the assembly work. Since a shell 17 is divided into two and the first shell 18 is fixed to the discharge lamp 1, the deterioration of electric parts due to the heat during the sticking process can be suppressed. |
