The method according to the invention comprises the production, on a main section 1, of a cavity 3 such as a cutout or a drilled hole, whose shape at least partly complements the cross section of the crossmember 2, this cutout preferably being produced by a press tool; the positioning of the crossmember 2 in the abovementioned cavity 3, at the point where the assembly is to be done, and the fastening of the two sections 1 in the region and vicinity of their contact zones.
