The invention relates to an instrument for shaping and modelling articles made from wax, of the type comprising an elongate body 1 provided at one end with a heating member 8. According to the invention, the body 1 includes a magazine 2 for wax in the solid state, whilst the heating member 8 comprises a part 17 for melting the wax, which part is made facing the outlet of the magazine 2, a buffer reserve 20 receiving the molten wax via the part 17 and a working tip (nozzle) 18 supplied with molten wax via the buffer reserve. The heating member may consist of a resistive member 9 and of a heat-conducting nib 14 tightly gripping the said resistive member. <IMAGE>
