PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown of load lever by providing an excessive stroke absorbing means thereby preventing stepping of accelerator pedal from being applied onto the load lever while exceeding over allowable motion range. CONSTITUTION:A load lever drive 10 of engine is coupled to an accelerator pedal 12 and a throttle valve in a carburetor while an excessive stroke absorbing means 18 is provided in the way of link 16 coupling between a load lever 14 for controlling fuel supply to engine. Said means 18 is constructed with a fixed cylinder 24 and a hollow movable cylinder 26 contained slidably. The link section 16A at the accelerator pedal side 12 is pressed through a spring 28 against the end wall in said movable cylinder 26 while the link 16B at the load lever 14 side is fixed directly to the other end wall of movable cylinder 26.
