INSULATOR DASHBOARD AND METHOD OF FORMING IT

PURPOSE:To improve the form-keeping property of an insulator dashboard and facilitate its assembly with a vehicle body, by partially swelling a sound insulator to provide projections. CONSTITUTION:In an insulator dashboard, a sound insulator 1 is partially swollen so that reinforcing projections 3 are provided. The cross section of each projection 3 is semicircular or the like. The numerous projections 3 extend in perpendicular directions as a checker on the sound insulator 1. The projections 3 function to increase the bending strength of the sound insulator 1 to promote the stability of the form of the insulator dashboard.
