PURPOSE:To prevent the paint film on a surface from being scratched when a molding is attached, by attaching both the ends of the molding one after the other. CONSTITUTION:To attach a molding 3 to a door panel 8, the panel is first opened and the clip 33 of an engaging member 30 is tightly fitted in the hole 34 of a flange 9 at the front end of the panel. Since the major-diameter part 35 of the clip 33 is located inside the hole 34, the clip cannot be pulled out. The molding 3 is then placed on an outer panel 7. The tongue 43 of an engaging member 40 is bent inward to coat the flange 9. At that time, the tongue 43 is easily bent inward at a hole 45 which is provided in a metal plate 44 to facilitate the bending. |
