PURPOSE:To feed an ink ribbon into the interior of a containing chamber in the manner of folding the ink ribbon and enable to contain the ink ribbon at a high density, by providing ink ribbon feeding-in rollers at an opening part of an inlet to the ink ribbon containing chamber. CONSTITUTION:In a containing chamber 10 for a small-width elongate ink ribbon 1 let out from a roll 2 and used for printing, a pair of feeding-in rollers 9, 9 are provided at an inlet opening part of the chamber 10, whereby the ink ribbon 1 can be fed into the interior of the chamber 10. It is preferable to provide in the interior of the chamber 10a slidable plate 12 moved in the direction from the inlet to the depth in accordance with the volume of the ink ribbon 1 contained in the chamber 10.
