The invention relates to a pneumatic yarn-splicing process and a yarn-splicing device for spun yarns. The end parts of two yarns coming from opposite directions are introduced so as to overlap one another into the yarn-splicing channel of a yarn-splicing member and are spliced with one another as a result of the action of a circulating pressure fluid on the double-yarn zone. According to the invention, the tips of the two yarns are held in the free state, and compressed-air flows, circulating round the yarn-splicing channel in mutually opposite directions are brought into action at two different points of the double-yarn zone.
