The load-bearing frame of a suspended counter-ceiling is made up of intersecting load-bearing rails (10), the upper, thickened profile portion (16) of which is enclosed at any locations by suspension brackets. Each suspension bracket comprises two bracket halves (62, 64), the upper portions (66, 68) of which overlap and have a common opening (70). A threaded rod (72) pushed through the opening (70) is screwed into a shaped part (60) which is arranged at a distance between the upper part of the suspension bracket and the upper side of the load-bearing rail (10). By means of a nut (74), screwed onto the threaded rod (72), the bracket halves (62, 64) are braced with respect to the shaped part (60) and with respect to each other such that they rest firmly against the load-bearing rail, while enclosing the upper, thickened profile portion (16) from both sides (Figure 2). <IMAGE>
