The invention forms a complete set of accessories for machine tools. System clamping means, for example in the form of standard units, are expanded by integrating centre clamping blocks in their field of use. In the production of accurate rotation parts these are generally provided with centring bores according to DIN 332 and are turned or ground between centres. An essential feature of the invention is to be able to utilise the known advantages of this clamping method for multilateral surface machining. In particular, the problem of clamping a large number of workpieces to be milled is solved. Workpieces whose principle machining operations lie in several circumferential planes are ideally suited for machining between the centre clamping blocks. Workpieces with predetermined shape and positional tolerances according to DIN 7184 should be emphasised in particular. A particular advantage arises in the use of the invention on NC- and CNC-machines. Extensive machining operations can be performed in a program sequence when the workpiece is clamped just once.
