PURPOSE:To provide a trolley wire a good wear-resistance, by extruding a wear- resisting material onto the peripheral surface of a core for the trolley wire, as the wear-resisting material is in a mixed state of liquid and solid, so that the material coats the core. CONSTITUTION:A core 8, whose melting point is higher than that of a wear- resisting material 2, is inserted through a hollow mandrel 6 and a die 5. Temperature control is effected by a heater 3 so that the core 8 remains solid as the wear-resisting material 2 is in a mixed state of liquid and solid. Pressure is applied to a ram 7 to extrude the wear-resisting material 2 to coat the peripheral surface of the core 8 moving out of an extruding die 5. A combined trolley wire 9 of highly improved wear-resistance is thus provided. |
