The invention relates to a missile (1) for combatting air targets (9). The invention proposes for a rotating, for example spin-stabilised, missile (1) an optical homing head (3,4,8) which has convergent optics (3) and a linear receiver (4) arranged in the focal plane of the convergent optics and consisting of a plurality of reception cells (5) lined up in a row. According to the target angle, the target (9) is imaged on a specific reception cell or on a plurality of reception cells which then emit a corresponding output signal. The missile possesses, moreover, a control member (6) which is arranged in a fixed geometrical relationship with the receiver. The receiver and control member are interlinked via an evaluation circuit (8) which transmits control signals to the control member according to the reception signals of the receiver (4), in order to guide the missile on a collision course with the target.
