In order to produce a mechanically and thermally stable (robust) conductor connection (4) between the sliprings (8) and the winding (14) of the rotor of an electrical machine, according to a first embodiment, prefabricated, prismatic conductors (4), which are bent in a L-shape, are passed through axial and radial shaft holes (3, 3') and are clamped in between a centrally arranged supporting body (5) and the wall of the axial shaft hole (3). A U-shaped rail (6) is provided between the conductor sections (4') of the conductors (4) and the wall of the axial shaft hole (3), as insulation protection. In order to increase the mechanical stability, the conductors (4) are embedded in a synthetic resin (17) in the shaft holes (3, 3'). The radial conductor sections (4'') project out of the periphery of the shaft journal 1', in order that they can be connected better. In a second embodiment, completely insulated conductors are clamped in between a centrally arranged supporting body (5) and the wall of the axial shaft hole (3), prefabricated mouldings (19) centring the conductors (4) in their rotationally symmetrical position. The exposed conductors (4), which are centred in position in the form of supporting points by mouldings (19), are cooled by air circulation which is produced by the rotating machine itself. <IMAGE>
