The axially deformable collar thrust cage for one- or two-row ball bearings made of material of low deformability, in particular plastic, has an axially directed recess in each of the webs and at least one retaining projection for the balls at the open ends of the pockets. The intention is to achieve reliable axial guidance of such a cage by simple means under all operating conditions and it should be possible to snap the cage in over the balls without problems despite the robust design and the use of material of low deformability. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the axial recesses (9) extend to a point just behind that section of the web parts (6', 6'') at which the retaining projections (8) face the balls (3) and that the web parts (6', 6'') adjacent to the retaining projections (8) are connected to one another by preferably rounded sections (10). <IMAGE>
