PURPOSE:To perform measurement with good accuracy, by a method wherein linear light beam of which the advance direction is determined in parallel to the slide direction of a slider is incident to a flat mirror and the reflected light is received by a detecting element to caluclate the slide characteristics of the slider. CONSTITUTION:Linear light beam B2 reflected from a flat mirror M2 by moving a detector 10 in vertical direction is incident to the center part of the light receiving region of a detecting element Sn1 and, in this state, the detector 10 is secured to a slider 1. When the output of the detecting element Sn1 is taken in a counter while the slider 1 is slid and operated according to a predetermined calculation formula by a microcomputer, slide characteristics, that is, straightness and a parallel degree can be obtained. In this case, when the output of the detecting element Sn1 taken in the counter is directly displayed by a display meter, the slide characteristics can be directly known. |
