CUTTING METHOD OF INTERLOCK-FORMED FLEXIBLE PIPE

PURPOSE:To make a cutting operation simple and to prevent the raveling at the cut end face by blowing the arc generated from an arc generator along the circumferential direction of a flexible pipe thereby melt cutting the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A belt-like metallic plate material is coiled, and the coiled blank materials 1 are meshed with each other to form interlock-formed flexible pipes 2, 10. The arc from an arc generator 26 is blown to the cutting position in the circumferential direction of such flexible pipe 10. The pipe 10 is melt-cut by the arc. The pipe 10 is thus easily cut and the raveling of the cut end face is prevented.
