PURPOSE:To prevent knocking from occurring and to prevent a reduction in power output by controlling the fuel injection timing by the value whichever the smaller between a fuel injection timing corresponding to the present accelerator opening or a corrected fuel injection timing corresponding to a fully stepped accelerator opening. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection timing TMAP corresponding to the present accelerator opening is computed based on an accelerator opening alpha and engine speed N. The fuel injection timing TMAX corresponding to the fully stepped accelerator opening is computed based on alpha where the accelerator opening is 100% and engine speed N. TMAX is corrected in response to an intake back pressure P. The injection timing is determined to the smallest of TMAP and TMAX*Kp'. By this mechanism, knocking and reduction in power output can be prevented. |
