<p>PURPOSE:To improve display quality by separating a pattern which connects a picture-element driving electrode and an electrode of capacitance except a connection part by a slit. CONSTITUTION:The picture-element driving electrode 6 and the electrode 7 of the capacitance 5 are separated by the slit 10 except at the connection part 9. If a defect due to a pinhole occurs in the electrode 7, the connection part 9 is cut by a laser, etc., to separate the picture-element driving electrode completely; the picture-element driving electrode 6 is not held at the unselected level of a timing line 3 and the voltage holding capacity of a picture element is only the capacity of liquid crystal sandwiched between the picture-element driving electrode 6 and counter electrode, but such an extreme defect state that the display device is on or off is not caused. Therefore, the display quality is improved.</p> |
