<p>PIPE COUPLING JOINT AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING SAME Disclosed is a pipe coupling joint comprising an interference fit coupling of unthreaded pipe sections. The end of the outer pipe in a telescoped interference fit coupling is radially compressed to form a groove in the inner pipe. The crimped end is compressed into the groove to securely couple the pipe sections together. Lined pipe joints and methods and apparatus for forming the improved interference fit joint are also disclosed.</p> |
